Moldovan foreign affairs minister says mission of Moldovan citizens' evacuation from Gaza Strip fulfilled successfully today

Chisinau, 15 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Moldovan diplomacy head, Nicu Popescu, has conveyed the following message, on the occasion of the finishing of the mission of evacuation of the Moldovan citizens from the Gaza Strip:  

„Today, the mission of our citizens’ evacuation from the Gaza Strip was finished successfully.

Fifty three citizens of Moldova were evacuated from Gaza, due to the work carried out by our Embassies in Israel, Turkey and Qatar, as well as to the outstanding efforts of the consular employee detached to Egypt. Forty five of them have already returned to Moldova, meeting again their families, while the last eight people are to arrive on the days to come.  

I want to express gratitude to all partners of Moldova involved in this comprehensive process evacuation, including the State of Israel, Egypt, Qatar, Romania, Ukraine and the International Organization for Migration. Due to the joint effort, we have managed to fulfill one of the most complex and difficult missions of evacuation in the history of our country’s diplomatic service. We thank everybody for the support provided!’’.
