Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/ - The Joint Control Commission (JCC) held a meeting in Bender today. The participants in the event heard the weekly report of the Joint Military Command on the situation in the Security Zone, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
The participants in the meeting found out the presence of illegal posts of the Transnistrian power wielding structures. This fact proves the continuous defiance of the security regime established for the Bender municipality under the provisions of the Ceasefire Agreement from 21 July 1992.
During the discussions in the Commission, Tiraspol’s representatives recognized that they were periodically setting mobile posts in Bender, made up of so-called ‘’border guards,’’ thus ignoring the principles of the peacekeeping mission on the Dniester river.
During the discussion of the subject on the unauthorized setting of the metal parapet on the road which connects Varnita and Bender, the Tiraspol representatives reaffirmed that this installation would be meant for the traffic safety and would not be used for limiting the freedom of movement.
The Moldovan Delegation to the Joint Control Commission and Moldova’s composition in the Joint Military Command will uninterruptedly monitor the carrying out of the unilateral actions, in order to avoid the appearance of new hotbeds of tension in the Security Zone.
The next meeting of the Joint Control Commission is scheduled for 23 November, this year.
