Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/ - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu today had a phone conversation with his Danish counterpart Lars Løkke Rasmussen, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.
This discussion is occasioned by a special thing, and namely the announcement on the opening of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Chisinau in early 2024. The diplomatic mission will play an important role in the development and consolidation of the political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries – the message conveyed by Nicu Popescu to this Danish counterpart.
This year, more countries, among which the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece and Spain, opened or will soon open Embassies in Moldova. This highlights the importance of the country in the region and the consolidation of the relations with the European Union member states.
