Moldovan policemen urge drivers to change tyres of vehicles for winter ones

Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/ - Policemen have urged drivers to change their tyres for winter ones, as the weather can sharply change and sleet, snow or glazed frost may be recorded. 

According to the General Police Inspectorate (IGP), another aspect is the time drivers will lose, as huge queues will appear at the motor services.  

At the same time, policemen warn that the use of studded tyres is banned during the present weather. 

Starting from 1 November, the drivers are obliged with lower beams on also during the day, in order to enhance the visibility in traffic. The measure is provided for in the Road Traffic Regulation and is annually valid till 31 March.
