Chisinau, Nov. 17 /MOLDPRES/- The Centre Regional Development Agency (ADR Centru), under the auspices of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development, conducted yesterday a monitoring visit of the regional project on drinking water supply in Nisporeni and Ungheni districts. After a detailed inspection of the construction site, it was found that the project is being carried out according to the schedule, 50% of the planned works have been carried out so far.

The project sees the improvement of the quality of life of the rural population through the construction of the aqueduct interconnecting the Prut River - Macărești village and providing drinking water to 13 localities in Nisporeni and Ungheni districts.

"The project includes the construction of a main aqueduct with a total length of 29.8 km, connecting the Prut River to the localities in Nisporeni and Ungheni districts. Also, the construction of internal networks in Boldurești and Chilișoaia localities is foreseen, on a total length of 24.3 km. The project includes works for the construction of 4 pumping stations, 10 castles and 6 water tanks", ADR Centre said.

The activity benefits from funding from the National Regional and Local Development Fund (FNDRL), with a total value estimated at around 64 million lei (3.2 million euros). Funds of about 11.3 million lei were allocated for 2023.

The project currently implemented by ADR Centre is a continuation of the previously inaugurated activities, so that after the completion of the regional development project, the newly built highway will be connected to the source of the undercrossing of the Prut River.
