Presidents of Moldova, Austria, Slovenia mark International Students' Day with discussion at Moldovan State University

Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu, along with her counterparts from Austria Alexander Van der Bellen and Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar, on the second day of their visit to Moldova, marked the International Students’ Day with a discussion with students of the Moldovan State University (USM), the presidential press service has reported.
„We talked about what means to be part of the great European family, about democracy, peace and security, about academic integrity, as well as about the artificial intelligence and climate changes,’’ President Maia Sandu said.
Also today, the Moldovan president participated, along with President Van der Bellen, in the Moldova-Austria Business Forum, organized by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry from both countries. ‘’The economic development is a priority of Moldova. The Austrian investments in such fields as IT, agriculture, automotive industry, create jobs and provide transfer of knowledge at high standards. I encouraged also other Austrian companies to come to our market,’’ the head of state noted.
Also, President Maia Sandu, along with President of Slovenia Pirc Musar, planted lime trees in the Botanical Garden, as the lime tree is one of Slovenia’s symbols.
