Interior Minister of Moldova, Ambassador of Azerbaijan discuss bilateral cooperation

Chisinau, 23 November /MOLDPRES/ - Interior Minister Adrian Efros has had a meeting with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Moldova Gudsi Osmanov. The agenda of the discussions referred to the fostering of the bilateral relations, boosting of the strategic dialogue and the cooperation in the interior affairs sector.  

In this respect, the interior minister emphasized the progress made in the achievement of the goals set in the agenda of development of the Interior Ministry (MAI), measures of intervention and of combating corruption and the cross-border criminality. Thus, the sides stressed the need to establish a mechanism which would facilitate the mutual exchange of information on the cross-border offences, committed by Moldovan citizens in Azerbaijan, as well as by Azeri citizens committed in Moldova, especially the involvement in terrorist activities.     

At the same time, Adrian Efros reiterated the MAI’s openness and willingness for boosting the relations with Azerbaijan, in order to achieve common goals.   

For his part, the ambassador of Azerbaijan showed interest and openness in the close cooperation on a wide range of fields of the interior affairs.
