Mechanism for applying international restrictive measures to be improved

Chisinau, Nov. 24 /MOLDPRES/- The mechanism for applying international restrictive measures will be improved. Parliament voted a draft law in the second reading today.
The adoption of this document is part of the Action Plan for the implementation of the measures proposed by the European Commission in the Opinion regarding the request for accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union. Moldova assumed its commitment to deoligarization by eliminating the excessive influence of private interests on economic, political and public life.
The draft law aims to eliminate certain gaps and ensure the applicability of legal norms. Respectively, the authors propose the elucidation of some notions and concepts, which have an important role in the application of international restrictive measures. At the same time, the proposed legislative amendments cover several aspects, including the way of communication with the concerned subjects or the duties of each public authority and institution in the context of the implementation of international restrictive measures.
The document also stipulates a series of provisions that refer to the goods that are subject to international restrictive measures.
