Agriculture ministry received modern equipment as gift from UN Women Moldova

Chisinau, Nov. 29 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry (MAIA) received a donation of high-performance equipment from the UN entity for gender equality and women's empowerment (UN Women Moldova), thus strengthening the support to women entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector. The handover event took place yesterday, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister, MAIA head Vladimir Bolea. He pointed out the importance of this gesture to improve the connection with citizens and promote the ministry's initiatives.

The donation is not only a set of modern equipment, but also an innovative way to strengthen the ties between the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and citizens. The new equipment will provide new opportunities to showcase the ministry's initiatives, ongoing projects and farmers' success stories, the relevant ministry said. "We are grateful for this donation, not only for the benefits it brings to our institution, but also for the way it allows us to build stronger ties with farmers and citizens," he said.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry will further support women entrepreneurs, encourage investments in agriculture and appreciate the potential of products created by women active in the sector.
