Costs for prostheses of certain categories of patients to be covered by state

Chisinau, Nov. 30 /MOLDPRES/- The forms of organization of primary medical care will be standardized. A draft amending the Health Protection Law was voted in the second reading by 56 MPs today.

The document's authors propose the exclusion of the legal norms that provide that the Ministry of Health manages primary healthcare. This is also important in the context where primary healthcare institutions are founded by local public authorities.

It is also proposed to supplement the Law on health protection with provisions stipulating that the expenses for individual prostheses and the consumables necessary for the surgical and prosthetic rehabilitation of certain categories of patients will be covered from the mandatory medical assistance insurance fund.
