Term of carrying out qualified child care activity under patent to be extended

Chisinau, Nov. 30 /MOLDPRES/- The activity of a qualified childcare worker under entrepreneur's license will be allowed until January 1, 2025.

The draft amending some legislative acts sees that starting from January 1, 2025, the activity of caregivers for children up to 3 years of age will be organized as an independent activity, according to a new regulatory mechanism proposed by the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization.

"At the moment, the legislative provisions on self-employment do not cover the field of alternative child care services. In order to ensure the safety and protection of children, as well as those who provide these services, it was decided to extend by one year the deadline for carrying out the patent-based activity of carers who provide alternative care services for children aged up to 3 years", the informative note of the legislative initiative reads.
