Moldovan electoral body starts printing ballots for elections in Aluatu village

Chisinau, Dec. 1 /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today started printing the ballots for runoff election of mayor in the village of Aluatu, Taraclia district, due on December 3.
In total, 768 ballots will be printed, of which 500 in Romanian and 268 in Russian.
According to the new Electoral Code, the participation rate for the runoff election is at least 1/5 of the number of people registered in the electoral lists. Candidate who picked up the highest number of votes is considered elected in the runoff election.
