Entrepreneurs, mayoralties, central institutions of Moldova to be able to access European funds for digitalization

Chisinau, 5 December /MOLDPRES/ - The entrepreneurs, mayoralties and central institutions will be able to access European funds for digitalization. This will be possible, after Moldova has finished the negotiations with EU on the country’s accession to the Digital Europe Programme. Deputy Prime Minister, Economic Development and Digitalization Minister Dumitru Alaiba today made statements to this effect.
„This programme (Digital Europe Programme) means access to funds, in order to enhance the digitalization of businesses, citizens and administrations from the continent. In all, the funds available for all member countries of the programme till 2027 reach 7.5 billion euros. The entrepreneurs, mayoralties and central institutions will be able to access European funds for digitalization. This is another opportunity which comes on behalf of EU,’’ Dumitru Alaiba said.
Digital Europe is a new financing programme of EU, which is focused on the bringing of digital technologies to enterprises, citizens and public administrations. With an overall planned budget of 7.5 billion euros, it is aimed at speeding up the economic improvement and at modeling the digital transformation of the society and economy of Europe, thus bringing benefits to all citizens, but especially to small- and medium-sized enterprises.
