Viorica Șimbalari appointed director of National Agency for Preventing and Combating Violence against Women

Chisinau, Dec. 6 /MOLDPRES/- Today government appointed Viorica Șîmbalari as director-general of the National Agency for Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence.

"Viorica Șimbalari has a degree in law, she holds a master's degree in European studies. She has extensive experience in working with governmental and non-governmental organizations to promote the rights of women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Șîmbalari has experience in providing legal assistance to women victims of violence from the diaspora of the Republic of Moldova from countries such as Italy, France and Norway", government's deputy secretary Igor Pșenicinîi said.

Today the government decided to appoint Aurelia Hanganu as director general of the National Agency for Research and Development, for a term of four years. Aurelia Hanganu is currently vice-rector of Moldova State University.
