Issue of illegal posts in Security Zone discussed at meeting of Joint Control Commission

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ - A weekly meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) was held in the Bender city on 7 December. The main subject of the discussion stayed the control posts of the power wielding structures subordinated to Tiraspol, abusively set in the perimeter of responsibility of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.      

The OSCE Mission unveiled the new composition of its representatives in the Commission and distributed to the delegations its monthly report on monitoring the situation in the Security Zone.  

The report confirms new lodges set for sheltering of representatives of the Transnistrian power wielding structures at more illegal posts, from Camenca to Slobozia.   

As for the metal parapet on the road segment between Varnita and Bender, they ascertain that the works have been carried out partially.   

The OSCE Mission’s representatives also considered the works carried out by the stock company Drumuri Criuleni (Criuleni Roads) along the road between the settlements Slobozia-Dusca and Criuleni and were informed by the district’s leadership about the fact that activities of drainage of underground waters and preventing the waters to reach the roadway were carried out.    

It is worth mentioning that earlier the members of the Transnistrian region’s delegation have launched in media insinuations as to this engineering project. The distorted statements by Tiraspol represented a failed attempt to distract the public attention from the works carried out in an unauthorized way by the Transnistrian structures on the road which connects the Varnita and Bender settlements, in order to create impediments to the free movement of citizens.
