Moldovan wines won gold and silver medals at international competition in France

Chisinau, Dec. 8 /MOLDPRES/- Sparkling wines of producers from the Republic of Moldova were included in the top ten positions, at the 21st edition of the international competition for the best sparkling wines in the world, Effervescents du Monde 2023.

Thus, the Moldovan wines obtained five gold medals out of 80 awarded. At the same time, liqueurs made in our country won seven silver medals out of 76 medals awarded in this category. 470 sparkling wines from 19 countries participated in the competition.

The competition was organized by the Oenology Forum on November 28 -December 1, 2023, in Château des Ravatys, France.

The Republic of Moldova is among the top 20 wine-producing countries, being also an important exporter worldwide. The wine industry represents one of the key branches of our country's economy. Moldovan wines are imported by more than 70 countries from different corners of the world.
