About 900 local representatives expected at Mayors' Forum

Chisinau, Dec. 9 /MOLDPRES/- Almost 900 local representatives from all over the country are expected at Mayors' Forum today. The event is organized under the auspices of President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu.

The event is organized by the government in collaboration with the Congress of Local Authorities of Moldova. All 895 elected or re-elected mayors were invited to the Forum.

The Forum program includes two discussion sessions with representatives of the Executive, the Parliament and experts from the associative environment. The participants will talk about the development of localities in the process of our country's accession to the European Union, the funds for regional development and what modernization opportunities exist for the communities.

The Mayors' Forum will take place at the Palace of the Republic.
