Lyceum from north Moldova district to benefit from better conditions or education with EU's assistance

Chisinau, 11 December /MOLDPRES/ - Energy optimization works are carried out at the Alexei Mateevici theoretical lyceum from the northern Soldanesti town, which, under the contract, should be finished in early 2024. The project, financed by the European Union through the German Agency for International Development (GIZ), is aimed at improving the conditions for education and work at the institution.   

According to the Centru Regional Development Agency (ADR Centru), more than a half of the works planned have been already carried out. At the same time, additional essential works were identified and carried out in the process of implementation, for the optimal work of the lyceum and ensuring a better level of efficiency.   

„The overall value of the project is of about 29 million lei (1.45 million euros) and the direct beneficiaries will be those over 70 employees and about 600 pupils of the Alexei Mateevici theoretical lyceum. The project will contribute to enhancing the energy efficiency and reducing the expenses for ensuring a comfortable climate at the institution,’’ ADR Centru said.
