Moldovan president has phone conversation with Swedish PM

Chisinau, Dec. 11 /MOLDPRES/- Today, President Maia Sandu had a phone conversation with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden Ulf Kristersson about bilateral relations and Moldova's European path, the presidential press service has reported.

The president spoke about the authorities' steps to carry out the reforms necessary to modernize the country and meet the criteria for joining the European Union. The official voiced hope that Sweden will continue to play a key role in supporting Moldova's efforts in the process.

The official thanked Kristersson for Sweden's assistance, especially aimed at supporting the population in the context of the energy crisis, the continuation of democratic reforms and the promotion of environmental improvements, including through the good management of the waters of the Dniester River.
