Chisinau, Dec. 13 /MOLDPRES/- Moldova has done its homework and is ready for the launch of EU accession negotiations. No EU member country has any objections to our country's preparation for the start of negotiations. Government spokesperson Daniel Vodă made the statements today in the context in which the European Council is going to discuss on December 14 and 15 the possibility to launch negotiations with several candidate states.
"The fact that Moldova is ready is not only a statement from the authorities, but it is confirmed first of all by the highest EU officials. The European Commission, through its recommendation of November 8, clearly pointed out that our country has successfully completed 94% of the necessary actions set in the summer of 2022, thus getting a very high mark. We are committed to speeding up the reform efforts, so that we are even more prepared when a consensus is reached on EU enlargement", said Daniel Vodă.
He said "regardless of the decision of the European Council, Moldova remains firmly committed to the irreversible path of joining the EU."
President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean and head of Moldovan diplomacy Nicu Popescu are holding discussions with high-level officials of all EU member states to promote the importance of launching negotiations for the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union.
