Local elections to be held in south Moldova village on 17 December

Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/ - The repeated election in the runoff elections for the office of mayor will take place in the Aluatu village, southern Taraclia district, on 17 December 2023.

According to the Central Electoral Commission, the same two candidates are registered in the ballot paper: on behalf of the Party of Change Political Party and the Party of Socialists from Moldova, in the descending order of the number of votes picked up at the runoff election of the repeated polls, held on 3 December 2023.

One polling station will be opened in the settlement and about 770 electors are expected to come to vote.

CEC declared invalid the polls in the runoff election from 3 December 2023 in the Aluatu village. The Commission found out that less than 20 per cent of the people registered in the electoral lists had participated in the elections.
