Arcadie Albul resigns from office of deputy governor of National Bank of Moldova

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - Arcadie Albul has resigned from the office of deputy governor of the National Bank of Moldova (BNM), member of the executive committee. The MPs took note of his resignation on 15 December.
Arcadie Albul submitted the application on resignation for health reasons. The draft decision which finds out the vacancy of the position of BNM deputy governor as of 1 January 2024 enters into force on the date of its adoption.
Under the legislation, the BNM deputy governors are appointed by the parliament, at a proposal by the governor of the National Bank of Moldova. At the same time, after the vacancy of the office comes about, the parliament must appoint a new member on a period of three months at the latest.
