Moldovan parliament speaker participates in festival in south Moldova village

Chisinau, 17 December /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu has visited the Manta village, southern Cahul district, where the Florile Dalbe festival took place. Attending the event was also MP Ion Groza, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
Artistic bands from settlements of the Prut river meadow, Manta, Brânza, Crihana-Veche, Vadul lui Isac, Slobozia Mare, Câșlița-Prut, performed on stage. They presented winter traditions inherited from ancestors.
„I am glad to see both children and elderly people on stage. The spirit of the holidays is nice; I am happy that these traditions, which are conveyed to small children, have been preserved in the Prut river meadow As long as we listen to popular New Year congratulations, go congratulate and sing carols, our nation will last,’’ Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu said.
The Florile Dalbe festival is organized by the Cahul District Council, in cooperation with the Manta commune’s mayoralty, in the context of the Come Home on Christmas campaign. The latter was launched by Moldova’s government, in order to celebrate and turn to good account the relations in the communities from all over the country through preserving the traditions.
