Moldova's National Inspectorate of Investigations to have new headquarters

Chisinau, 18 November /MOLDPRES/ - The National Inspectorate of Investigations (INI) will have a new headquarters. It was endowed within programmes on regional cooperation for the prevention and fight against criminality in Moldova and Romania.
The European Union’s contribution within the Romania-Moldova Joint Operational Programme is of over 6 million euros and another 12 million euros was co-financed by beneficiaries.
„If INI has been competitive so far, from now on, we expect its results to reach almost perfection. We thank EU for contribution. I wish an efficient work in new home,’’ Interior Minister Andrian Efros said.
Attending the event, EU Ambassador to Moldova Jānis Mažeiks said the new headquarters of the institution represented one more symbol of the EU-Moldova cooperation. ‘’It is important that police employees can exercise their mandate in the best conditions, so that the law-enforcers are professionals, well-trained and reliable,’’ the official said.
The new headquarters of INI has a centre for training investigation officers, room for acknowledgement, hearing rooms, an office for psychological counseling, a sports hall, a space for arrangement of archives, etc.
