One Moldovan citizen dies, seven injured in accident occurred in Portugal

Chisinau, 19 December /MOLDPRES/ - One citizen of Moldova has died and another seven ones were injured in the wake of a traffic accident which had occurred in Portugal on 18 December morning.

According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE), the accident took place on the national road 387, Beja region of Portugal.

Moldova’s Embassy in Lisbon took note and demanded information from the Beja police station on the circumstances of the occurring of the accident. The local authorities informed the Moldovan diplomatic mission that seven citizens of Moldova had been wounded and are now out of danger and one Moldovan citizen died.

MAEIE notes that Moldova’s Embassy in Lisbon will provide the needed consular assistance for the repatriation of the body to Moldova.
