Allowance for coaches of performance athletes to be recalculated annually

Chisinau, Dec. 21 /MOLDPRES/- The allowance for coaches of performance athletes will be recalculated annually from January 1, 2024. A decision to this effect was approved by the cabinet today. So far only performance athletes have benefited from this type of recalculation, the government's communication department has reported.

The payment is to be recalculated by the Ministry of Education and Research for each individual beneficiary, after the communication by the National Bureau of Statistics of the data on the average monthly salary per economy for the previous year, with subsequent transmission of the information to the National Social Insurance Office.

Establishing the recalculation of the coaches' allowance will create equity between performance athletes and their coaches. At the current stage, 68 people (45 performance athletes and 23 coaches) benefit from allowance from the state budget. Performance athletes also enjoy the annual recalculation of the lifetime allowance.
