Moldovan president conveys congratulatory message on Christmas

Chisinau, Dec. 24 /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu came up with a congratulatory message to all those celebrating new style Christmas, the presidential press service has reported.

"On Christmas, when we celebrate Birth of the Lord, let's give thanks for the peace in our homes. Let's be happy that our loved ones are safe and cherish the time spent with them."

The president urged that despite the challenges, the war at the border of Moldova, all citizens should stay on the side of life and trust in the power of good.

"This holiday is an occasion for forgiveness, reconciliation and understanding. Let's continue to lean on our core values - unity, solidarity and humanity, values that we need most now. Gathered in the family, with friends, delighted by groups of carolers knocking at our door, I wish you all a Merry Christmas!", the official said.
