CEC: Parties obliged to submit reports on financial management before 15 January

Chisinau, 11 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) warned the political parties that the deadline for presenting reports on financial management for the second semester of 2023 is January 15.

According to the CEC, the report is presented in electronic format, through the SSI "Financial Control". "Parties receiving allocations from the state budget present the report to the Court of Accounts. The report is to be signed by the leader and the treasurer of the political party. Both bear responsibility for the correctness of the data and information presented, as well as for their non-presentation. If the report on financial management is signed by the person who serves as interim head of the political party, presents the confirmation of the Public Services Agency", the CEC said.

The CEC also warned that the non-presentation or late presentation by political parties of the financial management report, including the incomplete data, is a violation of legal provisions.

Six political parties have submitted financial reports to the CEC so far.
