Moldova's head of state meets community of Moldovans from Timisoara

Chisinau, 13 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu on 12 January evening had a warm discussion with Moldovan citizens who live in the Timisoara city of Romania. The people present at the meeting, most of whom were students, young people, left Moldova for education and professional opportunities, the presidential press service has reported.
„I was happy to listen many of them, who are interested and involved in the developments at home. I urged them to return to the country to give a helping hand for Moldova’s modernization and our accession to the European Union. On the next period, the enthusiasm and dedication of all those who believe that Moldova is capable, that Moldova deserves more will be needed,’’ the head of state noted.
On this occasion, the Moldovan president expressed appreciation for two members of the Moldovans’ community from Timisoara, Roman Zgardan and Demian Raileanu, who play an important role in the development of the performance sport from Moldova.
„I thanked them for the values which they promote and for the effort and self-denial with which they coach and create champions for Moldova in the field of the Greco-Roman wrestling,’’ the head of state also said.
