Medical University Nicolae Testemitanu of Moldova to launch investment project worth 2 million euros

Chisinau, 15 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF) of Moldova will launch an investment sub-project titled, FORCE_Farm modernization and strengthening of the education through research in pharmacy and medicine at Nicolae Testemitanu USMF, worth two million euros. The initiative fits into the second round of a call of sub-projects within the Higher Education in Moldova Project, implemented by the Education and Research Ministry (MEC) and financed by the World Bank.       

A laboratory of bio-technologies and a laboratory of pharmaceutical and medicines’ design nano-technologies will be created and the education and research hall will be endowed with specialized educational systems with the resources earmarked. The investments will facilitate the process of development and rational use of medicines. ‘’The creation of this infrastructure will contribute to the students’ bio-technological education, through the learning of the abilities of the advanced practices in the field of the physical and chemical analyses, of the bio-analyses and at the application of diverse modern ways of researching medicines’ features,’’ the Nicolae Testemitanu USMF said.   

The sub-project will be launched at the headquarters of the University Social and Cultural Complex (N. Testemitanu Street 25) on 16 January 2024. The new sub-project, as well as the results achieved by the Nicolae Testemitanu USMF till present in the first round of providing grants will be unveiled at the festivity. 

FORCE_Farm is focused on the strengthening of the platform of teaching, research and elaboration of medicines. The sub-project sees the management of the educational process at the Pharmacy Faculty, through the light of the methodology of research of medicines and  familiarization of the Medicine Faculty students with this process, in order to integrate the education process at the two faculties.
