Constitutional Court validated MP mandate

Chisinau, 16 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Ion Poia is the new MP from the Action and Solidarity Party. His mandate was validated today by the magistrates of the Constitutional Court.
Also today, the Court magistrates rejected the proposal of the Central Electoral Commission to validate the MP mandate of Svetlana Popa, an alternate candidate on the list of the Communists and Socialists Bloc.
Ion Poia is an entrepreneur and councilor in Ungheni District Council of PAS.
The Court's decision is final, cannot be subject to any appeal and enters into force upon adoption.
The parliamentary mandates were declared vacant as a result of the resignations of deputies Gheorghe Agheorghiesei from PAS and Adrian Lebedinschi from BCS.
