New general commander of General Carabineer Inspectorate appointed

Chisinau, 17 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Dumitru Scurtu was appointed as general commander of the General Carabineer Inspectorate for a five-year period. The decision was taken today by the Government.
The proposal was made at the cabinet meeting by Minister of Internal Affairs Adrian Efros, who noted that Dumitru Scurtu has been working at the MAI subdivisions since 1999.
"Since 2021, Scurtu serves as deputy commander of the General Command of the General Carabineer Inspectorate, a period in which he recorded notable achievements in ensuring and maintaining public order. He demonstrated professionalism, responsibility and managerial skills, having the ability to perform the tasks qualitatively, regardless of their complexity", Adrian Efros said.
The position of general commander is vacant from the end of 2022.
