Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/ - Three inspectorates with right of control from Moldova have been endowed with new equipment through the project on competitiveness of micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises, financed by the World Bank.
Thus, the National Motor Transport Agency, the State Inspectorate for the Supervision of Non-Food Products and Consumers’ Protection and the State Labour Inspectorate received ten transport units specialized for the efficient transportation of equipment and samples. At the same time, the consignment includes mobile laboratory equipment and for collecting samples, which will enhance the inspectors’ efficiency.
The Economic Development and Digitalization Ministry (MDED) said that the investments in equipment and the training of inspectors would allow them carry out more efficient and quicker controls, thus reducing the administrative burden on the economic agents.
„The entrepreneurs’ time is quite precious. They are the ones who significantly contribute to the country’s economy. Through these vehicles, we will enhance both the efficiency and the integrity of the control. Also, the inspectors’ mobility is essential. We do not want either the entrepreneurs or the control agents to lose time. Everybody should use the time efficiently,’’ Deputy Prime Minister, Economic Development and Digitalization Minister Dumitru Alaiba said.
The project on the support of the micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), financed by the World Bank, has a budget of 50 million dollars and will be implemented during 2023-2027. The project is coordinated by MDED, with the involvement of the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development, Investments Agency and the unit of implementation of the competitiveness enhancement project.
