Moldovan parliament recorded 3,757 petitions, appeals last year

Chisinau, 22 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Parliament recorded 3,757 petitions and appeals in 2023. Most of them concern alleged violations of the right to justice, security and personal dignity.

According to the parliament's communication and public relations department, out of the total number of petitions, 2,437 were examined in the Parliament, and 1,320 were sent to the relevant institutions. Last year, 522 citizens were heard by the representatives of the petitions and hearings department.

According to the legal provisions, petitions can be made orally or in writing. Citizens also have the opportunity to address online petitions to the Parliament at https://petitii.parlament.md/
