Chisinau, 23 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Fuel prices have registered a moderate increase of 3-4% since the beginning of this year.
According to the National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE), the factors that influenced the level of retail prices of the main standard oil products were: the increase of Platts quotations on international exchanges by about $60/ton; the implementation from January 1 of the new excise duties on fuels; adjustment of the specific commercial margin in the size of the contribution for energy efficiency, established by the government decision; depreciation of the national currency against the US dollar.
ANRE noted that at present, "it does not identify new factors that could put additional pressure on the level of fuel prices, so that it fluctuates only in accordance with the level of quotations registered on the stock exchanges".
Also, ANRE said that for tomorrow, the maximum retail prices of the main standard oil products are set at the level of: 23.56 lei/liter - for COR 95 petrol (+0.11 lei) and 21 .46 lei/liter - for standard diesel (+0.12 lei).
