New local elections to be held in village from south Moldova district on 19 May

Chisinau, 23 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has established new local elections for the office of mayor in the Sagaidac village, southern Cimislia district, for 19 May 2024.
According to CEC, the vacancy of the position occurred following an application on resignation submitted by the mayor elected at the general local polls from 5 November 2023.
At the same time, on 19 May this year, new local elections will take place for a new composition of the village councils in the settlements Cairaclia, Taraclia district and Chioselia Rusa, Autonomous Territorial Unit of Gagauzia, as well as for the election of the mayors of the Tirnova commune, northern Donduseni district and the Bucovat town, central Straseni district.
Also, on the same day, partial elections for the position of mayor will be held in the settlements Chioselia Rusa and Cotovscoe from UTA Gagauzia, as well as partial elections for a new composition of the local council of the Cealic commune, Taraclia district.
