Moldovan parliament speaker to participate in meetings of juridical commissions, due in Romania

Chisinau, 24 January /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu, Deputy Speaker of the Romanian Senate Virgil Guran and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk will participate in a meeting of the parliamentary juridical commissions in Romania on 24-26 January.
According to the parliament’s communications and public relations department, the event will bring together representatives of the legal institutions from the three countries, magistrates and lawyers, diplomats and the discussions will be divided in more working sessions.
According to the quoted source, the goal of the meeting is to bring the three countries to the same table of discussions, in order to analyze relevant aspects in the process of pre-accession to the European Union.
The participants in the meeting will discuss the recommendations regarding the justice sector and the work of the legal system, proposed in the process of negotiation of Moldova and Ukraine in the context of the accession to the European Union.
Following the joint meeting, a declaration will be adopted on the cooperation between Moldova, Ukraine and Romania in the field of justice reformation and fighting corruption.
