Chisinau, 25 Jan. /MOLDPRES/-Deputy Speaker Mihail Popșoi expressed gratitude for the support given by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) in the European path of the Republic of Moldova. The statement was made at PACE winter session, held on January 22-26 in Strasbourg.
In his speech, the deputy speaker referred to the Globalization in times of crisis and war: the role of the OECD since the Russian Federation's aggression against Ukraine.
"It is time for OECD member states and all democratic countries, based on the rule of law, to ensure that preventive reparations are established and that the 300 billion euros, currently seized by Western jurisdictions be used skillfully in Ukraine, to defend the country from the bombings and terrible suffering it endures every day, today, yesterday and, unfortunately, most likely tomorrow. Supporting Ukraine is the best investment in a peaceful, prosperous and stable Europe," Popsoi said.
He assured that Moldova will continue to provide assistance to women, children and the elderly who arrived in our country in search of refuge. He noted that this is the last PACE session he is participating in as a member of the parliamentary delegation, having been appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration.
