Chisinau, 25 January /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu today hosted his Danish counterpart Lars Løkke Rasmussen at the headquarters of the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry (MAEIE).
According to the MAEIE’s press service, the officials reviewed the progress made in the Moldovan-Danish relations. The diplomats referred also to the development of the economic relations between the two countries.
„I reiterated that the Moldovan market is a safe one and we are quite open for all European companies willing to invest in Moldova. In the last year, more Danish companies have displayed their intention to start or even started businesses in our country. Among them, there is the company Tunetanken, specialized in the production of reservoirs out of glass fibre and another company, Shape Robotics, which is focused on the development of robots for education and researches.
The visit by Minister Rasmussen coincides with the inauguration of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Moldova, thus extending the number of diplomatic missions resident in Moldova to 28. The embassy will play an important role in the development and consolidation of the political, economic and cultural relations between the two countries.
In the end, I thanked my counterpart for the fact that Denmark is with Moldova’s citizens and firmly supports us on our European integration way,’’ Nicu Popescu added.
