Ministry of Justice launched Anti-Corruption Platform

Chisinau, 29 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Justice has formalized the Anticorruption Platform. The meeting of the Platform was chaired by Minister of Justice Veronica Mihailov-Moraru, attended by Prime Minister Dorin Recean and representatives of anti-corruption institutions.
The platform is an advisory body in the anti-corruption and corruption-related matters, created under the Ministry of Justice. It was set up to streamline the process of coordinating policies in the anti-corruption field and those related to the anti-corruption field, the active involvement of authorities and institutions in solving problems, as well as to facilitate communication and inter-institutional cooperation.
Recean said that the Anticorruption Platform offers the opportunity for every actor involved in the fight against corruption to express his point of view on issues aimed at preventing and combating the scourge of corruption. He emphasized the need to reach certain conclusions, to identify solutions and as a result, to act. "The fight against corruption is included both in the list of our commitments to the European Union and in the basic priorities of the Government," said Recean.
The discussions focused on the draft Regulation on organization and operation of the Anticorruption Platform, in particular, on the way the platform was set up, the powers, rights and responsibilities of the members.
