Chisinau, 29 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- New Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi took the oath of office today before President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean, the government's communication department has reported.

He appreciated the contribution made so far by Mihai Popșoi in the foreign policy and the European integration, stressing that progress in these directions is a priority for the authorities.

"From now on, we will have a Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs and a Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs without portfolio, who will lead the Office for European Integration. We have to work on both dimensions, to achieve our country's objective - the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union", said Recean.

Mihai Popșoi said he relies on the support of diplomacy in his activity. "I am coming to amplify the successes you have already had and achieve new results together with you. We will double our forces, both for collaborations with the member states of the European Union, as well as with the countries with which we have collaborated less so far", he said.
