New Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs sworn in today

Chisinau, 29 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popsoi took the oath of office today before President Maia Sandu and Prime Minister Dorin Recean, the presidential press service has reported.
During the event, the head of state said that Mihai Popșoi comes with a solid academic background. Popșoi stood out for his intense activity on the platform of parliamentary diplomacy and made an essential contribution to strengthening the support and trust of foreign partners.
Maia Sandu reiterated that the primary goal of the authorities in the foreign policy remains Moldova's accession to the European Union.
"Our goals in the foreign policy remain the same: to anchor the Republic of Moldova definitively in the free world, to take decisive steps towards European integration and of course, to represent the interests of the Republic of Moldova, the interests of our citizens", Maia Sandu said.
Maia Sandu signed the appointment decree for the position of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs on 29 January.
