Moldovan president has phone conversation with European Commission's president

Chisinau, 29 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a phone conversation with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen about the steps Moldova is to undertake on the way of its accession to the European Union, the presidential press service has reported.
During the dialogue, the head of state thanked the European Commission’s president for the support provided to Moldova, as well as for the fact that she had come up with the recommendation to the EU Council to start the negotiations on Moldova’s accession to EU.
Maia Sandu reaffirmed the authorities’ commitment to continue the reforms underway, so that Moldova becomes an EU member state.
