Twenty first edition of Made in Moldova exhibition inaugurated in Chisinau

Chisinau, 31 January /MOLDPRES/ - The 21st edition of the Made in Moldova national exhibition was inaugurated at the headquarters of the Moldexpo International Exhibition Centre today. About 350 native entrepreneurs participate in the event, who will present to visitors the best products and services on the next five days.   

The current issue has the slogan, At Home! Authentic! Native!. It has an area of 2,800 square metres and brings together entrepreneurs of all sectors of the national economy from all regions of Moldova.  

President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) Sergiu Harea said that the exhibition was meant to support and promote the native producers, so that their products and services are known both on the domestic market and on the international one. ‘’We have prepared an ample business programme, so that we can put face to face entrepreneurs from Moldova and the official delegations which arrived from abroad, including from Romania, Ukraine, Poland, Italy, France, North Macedonia, Turkey, China, which come to discover Moldova,’’ Sergiu Harea noted.     

Attending the event, Prime Minister Dorin Recean welcomed the participants in the exhibition, noting that the government would continue backing the native producers through diverse programmes. ‘’What we see today is the proof of the fact that we have in Moldova talent, innovation, people who can develop services and products which are appreciated on the domestic market and the international one. The European integration process opens for us even more markets and we can turn to good account this huge potential both from EU and other countries. I want us to be proud of what we can produce here, at home,’’ the prime minister said.    

The exhibition is placed according to sectors, depending on the profile of work, in the central pavilion and the pavilion No 2 of Moldexpo, as well as in the exterior areas. Thus, enterprises from the agro-industrial sector, agriculture field, food products and beverages, collective exhibitions from 15 districts of Moldova are present in the central pavilion. Industrial enterprises, textiles, cosmetic, pharmaceutical products, furniture, clothes and footwear made in Moldova are exhibited in the pavilion No 2. At the same time, tents for commerce with apicultural and farming products are placed in the exterior areas of Moldexpo.     

The country invited to this edition is Italy, which has a representative stand of Italian companies which carry out their activity in Moldova.   

The Made in Moldova national exhibition 2024 will be open till 4 February and is organized by CCI, under the patronage of Moldova’s government, in partnership with the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA).     

People willing to visit the exhibition can benefit from free of charge transport up to Moldexpo. Thus, starting from today till 4 February, the temporary bus route, Stefan the Great and Holy Public Garden – Moldexpo International Exhibition Centre, will move during 10:00-17:00 for the free of charge carriage of citizens and guests of the Moldovan capital.    

Made in Moldova is the event with which the schedule of each exhibition year starts in Moldova. The main goal of the exhibition is to support the native producers, promote competitive products on the domestic and external market, attract investments and boost the public-private dialogue.
