Customs Service collected over 642 million lei last week

Chisinau, Feb. 12 /MOLDPRES/- On February 5 - 11, the Customs Service collected over 642.1 million lei (about 32.1 million euros) to the state budget.

According to the Customs Service, private people introduced goods whose customs value exceeds the non-taxable limit, and payments amounting to over 22.1 million lei were collected, which represents 3.4%. The money collected from taxpayers is paid directly into the state budget and redistributed for salaries, infrastructure development, social projects etc.

The past week, 8,386 customs declarations were completed, and the flow of means of transport was 62,767 crossings. The most transited customs posts remain Leușeni and Sculeni, with 16,424 and 11,446 crossings, respectively.

Since the beginning of this year, the Customs Service has collected about 3.3 billion lei to the state budget.
