Two persons run for office of president of Moldova's Court of Accounts

Chisinau, 13 February /MOLDPRES/ - Tatiana Sevciuc and Marin Gospodarenco have been admitted to the exam of interview at the contest for the selection of the candidates for the office of president of the Court of Accounts (CCRM). The parliament’s commission for control of public money approved a decision to this effect on 12 February.   

Three people submitted files to the contest, with one of the files being incomplete. Both Marin Gospodarenco and Tatiana Sevciuc have experience in the field of public money. They have earlier worked at the Court of Accounts. Marin Gospodarenco acted as head of department and Tatiana Sevciuc is CCRM member, appointed to this position in 2022.   

The candidate due to get the largest number of points will be put forward by the parliament for appointment to the office of president of the Court of Accounts.  

Under the legislation, the president of the Court of Accounts is appointed by the parliament for a five-year term with the votes of the majority of MPs elected.
