Moldovan, Romanian officials approach country's European integration

Chisinau, Feb. 13 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov had a meeting today with Romanian Senate President Nicolae Ciucă in Bucharest. The officials discussed Moldova's European path and progress in the accession process, the government's communication department has reported.

"I noted that membership of the great family of the European Union is the zero priority of the Chisinau authorities and we will continue to work so that this goal becomes a reality as soon as possible," said Gherasimov.

The official thanked for Romania's unconditional support, including in obtaining the positive vote for the launch of accession negotiations.

"We received a strong message of support for our European path and assurances that Romania will continue to stand by the Republic of Moldova", Gherasimov said.
