Moldova's European integration agenda discussed in Bucharest

Chisinau, 14 February /MOLDPRES/ - Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov has had meetings with more Romanian officials, during her working visit to Bucharest, the government’s communication department reported.
The developments on the European integration agenda were tackled in discussions with the president of the Committee on Foreign Police of the Romanian Senate, Titus Corlatean, the president of the Committee on European Affairs, Vasile Dincu, and with the adviser on foreign policy of President Klaus Iohannis, George Gabriel Bologan.
„We referred to our progress made in the accession process and the ways in which Romania can support us in continuation. We discussed also the importance of boosting the bilateral dialogue on the parliamentary dimension, especially in the context of the process of evaluation of the adjusting of the national legislation to the EU’s one,’’ Deputy PM Cristina Gherasimov said.
The Moldovan official also had meetings with the head of the Chancellery of the Romanian Government, Alexandru Ghigiu, the state adviser for foreign policy and strategic affairs at the Chancellery of the Romanian PM, Nicolae Comanescu. The sides discussed the importance of the modifications recently made at the level of institutions and namely the creation of the Bureau for European Integration – a step which will allow a much better coordination of the actions and efforts which must be carried out at home.
In the end, Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov thanked for the constant and unconditional support provided to Moldova. ‘’Our relations are not only strong, but also in a continuous development. This solid partnership represents a fundamental pillar towards a common European future,’’ Cristina Gherasimov said.
