Leova Health Center equipped with high-performance ultrasound machine

Chisinau, February 14 /MOLDPRES/- A high-performance ultrasound machine was installed today at Leova Health Center, thanks to the Japanese government. The device will increase the quality of the medical act and facilitate the early detection of diseases.

Leova Health Center received a grant worth $53,567 for the procurement of the ultrasonography machine from the Government of Japan under the Kusanone program. An electric generator was purchased from the project's money, thanks to which the continuity of the provision of medical services will be ensured, regardless of the technical conditions, the Ministry of Health states.

The healthcare system of the Republic of Moldova benefits from non-refundable financial assistance within the Kusanone program since 2008. The initiative comes to strengthen the modern and accessible medical services, as well as diagnostic and treatment capacities.
