Moldovan president, culture people discuss referendum on European integration

Chisinau, 15 February /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today met a group of journalists from the culture field, literary critics and leaders of more culture institutions at a new round of discussions on the referendum concerning the accession to the European Union, the presidential press service has reported.   

Maia Sandu highlighted the important role of the culture people in the promotion of the national and European values. The head of state stressed the need of consolidating the people’s support for the country’s European way. At the same time, President Maia Sandu emphasized the importance of a correct informing and communication about the EU in each community, as this proves the unity and support of the entire society for the European integration project.   

The consultations on the subject of referendum will continue with representatives of different communities and groups of the society. The referendum on Moldova’s accession to EU will be held till the end of this year.
